Omontys (peginesatide) Injection, a drug used for anemia treatment in kidney dialysis patients, has been recalled because of "serious, life-threatening or fatal hypersensitivity reactions", including anaphylaxis. The voluntary recall has been announced by Takeda Pharmaceutical Co. and Affymax Inc.
