Median plane

The median plane, also known as the mid-sagittal plane, is a vertical plane that passes through the midline of the body and bisects the body into two symmetrical halves: right and left. It is one of the imaginary planes that intersect the body, dividing it into parts or slices.

The midsternal line can be interpreted as a segment of the median plane.
